"Trish and Dave were wonderful tour leaders for whom nothing was too much bother. They went out of their way to help us and others on the tour. Every conceivable request or problem was dealt with graciously.

Our tour of Provence and the Southwest was glorious, with beautiful scenery, fabulous historic sites and lovely towns and villages to visit. We enjoyed browsing fascinating markets and brocante stores, wineries and more. We loved the accommodation in Helene’s gorgeous country farmhouse Mas de Curebourg with such a personal touch- and the elegant Chateau les Merles.

The days glided by with nothing to stress about as Dave calmly drove us from one beautiful place to another and from one lovely restaurant to another each evening. The meals were delightful, with Trish being quite discerning as to which restaurant we would be taken to. There was time each afternoon to relax by the pool with or without a drink!

We would recommend this tour to anyone who loves beautiful France- for the scenery, the history, the fine food, and to have a stress-free holiday."

"We chose Petits tours en France (South West Explorers) because we wanted to be part of a small group and wanted to stay in one place. We were not disappointed. A fabulous week touring the South West of France with Dave and Trish who were very knowledgeable of the areas visited. A well thought out and planned itinerary.

Can highly commend Daves driving in and around the country roads and through the quaint French villages.

 

Our accommodation both in Bordeaux, at a very nice central Bed and Breakfast and in Couze et Saint Front at the luxurious Chateau Mont-d’Onel were superb and well chosen.

Dave and Trish were very relaxed and easy to get along with. More like friends than tour leaders.

"What a wonderful trip this was! It easily exceeded all expectations as we explored French culture, landscape and history with Trish and Dave Jenkins in June this year. Strongly flavoured by delicious food, wonderful wine, superb local knowledge and excellent accommodation, the Dordogne, Brittany and Normandy regions were ours for the taking.

Trish and Dave are loyal Kiwis who form a complimentary Francophile team whose itinerary has become finely tuned after many years of visiting these regions. Trish’s skill for searching out high standard restaurants was rewarded by our daily “oohs and aahs” while Dave’s knowledge of the built landscape and the Normandy invasion is impressive.

We particularly enjoyed not changing accommodation regularly and this worked a treat when we had Dave driving us to points of interest each day. Each drive showcased beautiful summer landscapes with local history imparted by both Dave and Trish as we swished through fields of yellow sunflowers and blue linseed.

We enjoyed the trip immensely and would strongly recommend it.
